Hubby and I spent a night at a bed & breakfast in Stillwater this weekend, away from puppies and family, just the two of us. We had a great time, walked down to main street and ate at the Green Room. We got a nice spot on the roof, with a nice view, but then it got cold and threatened to rain, so we went inside to have our meal. Good decision, because shortly after our meals were brought to us, it started pouring outside. I had a delicious beef tenderloin with brandy peppercorn sauce, so yummy. I wasn’t able to finish it, but it was well worth trying 😉
After dinner, we walked around for a little bit, found a candy shop and picked out some fudge, then trekked back up the hill to the b&b. I attempted the jacuzzi, but we ended up having to cool it down quite a bit before I could actually get in for more than 30 seconds.
So anyways, back to baby. Still no morning sickness, but I’ve been a bit more indecisive than usual when it comes to food. I feel averse to most things when I get super hungry, and I usually end up jumping straight from not hungry (and possibly also still full) to super hungry. Ended up having a chicken salad on Friday because I didn’t feel like having a chicken sandwich or fries. And I’ve also been less hungry for sweets — I buy them still, because I’m used to wanting them, but then they sit around for a while until I have to force myself to eat it. But if someone just offers me Oreos or something, I usually turn them down. Weird.
Other than that, still have the cramps, they’re actually getting worse I think. Still not to the point of worrying about a miscarriage, but it’s still super annoying. They just drain me for about a minute, then go away, then come back a few minutes later. It’s not all the time, but it’s been every day for at least a week. I’m definitely ready for less of the cramps…
I go in for my first ultrasound tomorrow! Get to find out if baby’s even in the right place, and if there’s just one in there or if daddy has to quit his job after my maternity leave… We’re thinking he might end up staying home regardless, but it’s only required if we’re having twins; can’t afford daycare for two infants.
