Still no morning sickness, but I just found out bananas help with that, and I have a banana in my smoothie every morning. So I’m hopeful that I won’t ever get morning sickness! But that’s not likely, cause it’s me.
Anyways, still haven’t had any major symptoms since the HCG was first introduced to my system (mild nausea, bloating, major breast soreness, constipation). I get cramps every once in a while, and if I press lightly on my boobs they hurt, but I think my bras are plenty supportive for them right now. I’ve only gained a couple pounds, and they recommend no more than 5 pounds in the first trimester. Since I’m halfway through, I’d say that’s right on schedule, and if I do get morning sickness, I might not gain anything until that ends. After that, I’ll need to gain a pound per week, not to exceed 25 pounds total for the pregnancy. As long as I don’t overeat (“eating for two” isn’t about quantity, but quality — I need to make sure I get enough nutrients in my meals for two, in other words) and I stay fairly active (or increase activity, in my case), I should be on track for a healthy pregnancy. I’ve completely cut caffeine (after a couple weak moments, which were both well below the maximum allowed per day), and surprisingly I haven’t even been eating a lot of chocolate. I’ve never even tried cigarettes, so there’s nothing to worry about there, and I heated up my lunchables today, just to be safe.
As for my wedding this weekend, it was beautiful, and I enjoyed it very much. The speeches were amazing, and hubby even gave an impromptu speech about the first time he realized he was in love with me. I’d never heard that story before, he always avoided the question, so it was a very welcome surprise. And the dances went well. Only thing that didn’t go well was the food for the wedding party. Chipotle lost my order, so we didn’t get it until hours after the catering for the guests showed up, and we didn’t have time for lunch before the ceremony, so we were starving by then. Thankfully, they eventually found the order, and we were able to eat.
