14 DPO: The Confirmation

5:20am: Wake up. Still have sore breasts, but not as bad as Sunday. Temp is 98.50, slight increase from the past few days, so that’s a good sign for the little embryo. Still some mild cramps, but nothing major yet, and no spotting.

Stopped at a Target before lunch to ogle some baby clothes, but they have a pretty lame selection for neutral clothes at the moment, and I don’t have any specific predictions for gender. Day goes by slowly, because I’m looking forward to my doctor appointment tonight.

4:00 finally rolls around and I leave early, since they usually have you fill out a long questionnaire. Get there at 4:35, get my urine sample done right away, fill out the questionnaire, and wait. At 5:05, I get called in, and chat with the nurse a bit. Then the doc comes in, and she congratulates me and hands me a giant book of what to expect, along with several pamphlets and a free sample of prenatals from Similac. We talk, she goes over the basics, don’t eat fish, etc.

The most important part being, of course, that I’m pregnant and it’s been confirmed by the doc! Setting my next appointment tomorrow for a few weeks from now.
